The short version
You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or any financial details. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed in your browser and are not stored by us.
What we collect
When you visit a page, our server records the page path, the website that referred you (domain only), your device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), and a one-way hash built from your IP address, browser details and the date. The hash changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address, and we do not store your IP address in our analytics tables. We also count events such as "a calculation was run" without recording what you entered. We use this to see which pages are helpful and to fix problems.
Links that contain your inputs
The "Copy link to this result" button puts your inputs in the web address so you can share a scenario. We do not save the query part of the address in our analytics, but any web server can record full addresses in its standard access logs, so treat shared links as you would any link containing personal numbers.
Cookies and similar technology
We do not set our own cookies for ordinary visitors. Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, and you can change it any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Administrators receive a session cookie needed to sign in. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google's advertising technologies may set cookies to measure use of the site and to show and measure ads. If you decline, these cookies are not set.
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which calculators are opened and how often a calculation is run. We do not send the numbers you enter into calculators. Until you accept, analytics consent is set to denied, so Google Analytics does not store cookies on your device; depending on how the site is configured, Google's script may not load at all until you accept. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses advertising cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or learn more at aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the site (such as our hosting provider) and with advertising partners as described above, and where the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can clear your browser's local storage to reset your cookie choice and block cookies in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data or to opt out of certain sharing. Because our analytics do not identify individuals, we usually hold nothing that can be linked to you, but you can ask at [email protected].
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when our practices change.
